JELLYNECK recently shot a national infommercial for the company - First Act!

First Act specializes in musical instruments for beginners. They sell guitars, basses and drumsets to fine chain stores like: Walmart and K-mart (prolly a buncha other Marts too). It's the $98.99 - guitar, amp, strap and two sets of strings deal.  First Act now has a new line of "Pro Grade" instruments they are beginning to market, so they wanted a "pro band" to play on their instruments in their infomercial.

JELLYNECK didn't do any testimonials or endorsements for First Act, but just played their music like they would live ... but with First Act's instruments. (Drew on their $300 guitar, Frank on their new bass, and Andy on their "8-piece drum kit"). First Act hired a guitar tech to setup the guitars and bass to the bands specs (drop-C tuning and the proper gauge strings), and Andy spent the evening before setting up the drumset to fit his style.

First Act and their production company rented out Studio 7 (Seattle's premier rock club), complete with pro video crew of 20 people, a guitar tech, and a soundguy and a lightman. We shot for over 5+ hours and got all kinds of footage of stage and closeups. The band did live sound to video tape so their music and actual performance will be featured in the infomercial!

The guitar played fairly well and stayed in tune all day. The bass and drums also held up during the shoot and are decent instruments for beginners! We also had one of the best soundmen in town (Dave Dumt), tweaking the P.A. knobs and he helped make that equipment sound "Pro" as well!
